Privacy and cookies policy
This website asks before it uses cookies. You choose whether we count visits so we can improve the site. If you choose not to, every page reads exactly the same.
Cookies and tools this website uses
nextstep.tv uses two types of cookie. When you open the site, a small bar at the bottom of the screen lets you choose. The bar does not cover the content, and you can read before you answer. Type 2 is off to begin with, and no box is ticked for you. Until you press OK, your browser sends no request to Google. In this policy, cookies also covers browser storage and tracking scripts.
Type 1, Essential (always on), remembers your answer in the cookie bar, on your own device, for 12 months, so we do not have to ask you again. It is not sent to us or anyone else and is not used to track you, so it does not need consent. Our fonts are stored on our own server. Videos are links that open in a new tab and are not embedded in our pages.
Type 2, Measurement. We use Google Analytics 4 from Google LLC (United States) to count visits, see which pages are read and where visitors come from, so we can make the site more useful to you. The data sent is the page opened and its title, time, the link that brought you, language, screen size, device and browser type, roughly which city you are in, and a random identifier in a cookie. Google receives your browser's IP address each time a page opens, as with any website, but Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log IP addresses, and we have also set the tool to anonymise IP addresses. We have switched off Google Signals and Google Analytics advertising signals, so this data is not used for personalised advertising. We do not send your name, email address or anything you type into a form into this tool. The cookies set are _ga and _ga_ followed by the site's ID, kept for no more than 90 days from your last visit. Google keeps event-level data for 2 months. Aggregated reports that do not identify you can be kept longer. Google's policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
The data in type 2 goes to Google, which processes it in the United States and in other countries Google uses. Data protection standards in those countries may differ from Thailand's. Google describes its safeguards in its own terms. We send this data only when you press OK for that type, and we treat that as your acknowledgement of this point.
For type 2 we rely on your consent under section 19 of the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019). This consent is separate from reading the site, sending the contact form and applying for a job. Type 1 does not need consent because it is needed to remember your own answer.
If you press No thanks, you can still read the site, watch videos, send the contact form and apply for a job exactly as before. Every content page is the same. The only difference is that we set no type 2 cookies.
You can change your mind at any time, and it is as easy as giving consent. Select 'Change cookie settings' at the bottom of any page, then press No thanks once, or switch off type 2. When you withdraw, the site stops loading Google Analytics and deletes the cookies our site set. Data already sent to Google before you withdrew is kept under Google's own policy. You can ask us to help delete it at business@nextstep.co.th (where we can find your data in the system). Your answer is remembered per browser and per device, so if you use several, set it on each. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
This website is written for adults. If you are under 20, please ask a parent or guardian to choose. If we add a new provider or use data for a new purpose, we will change this section, date the new version, and ask for your consent again.
What we collect when you contact us
We receive the information you send us when you get in touch with us yourself, by emailing business@nextstep.co.th (business, airlines, cities and agencies, press, buying documentaries and co-production), advertising@nextstep.co.th (advertising) or career@nextstep.co.th (careers), or by calling the office.
What we receive is your name, email address, telephone number (if you give it), organisation, and the message you write. Job applicants may also send a CV and portfolio. Please send only what is needed for what you want to discuss. When you submit the contact form, your own email app opens with what you typed. You review it and send it yourself as an email to business@nextstep.co.th (job applicants to career@nextstep.co.th). This site cannot store what you type before you send it. Visit data is received only if you consent, as described under Cookies and tools this website uses.
How we use it
We use the information you send us only to reply to you, to follow up on what you contacted us about, or to consider your application. Visit data (if you consent) is used only to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with others for marketing, apart from the technical data sent to Google with your consent as described under cookies. Inside the company it reaches only the team that looks after your matter.
How long we keep it
We keep the information you send us only as long as needed for the matter you contacted us about, and no more than 2 years after that matter ends. For job applicants it is no more than 1 year, unless you ask us to keep it for future openings. Visit data is kept for the periods stated under Cookies and tools this website uses. Event-level data in Google Analytics is kept for 2 months. After that we delete it or make it impossible to identify you, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.
Links to other websites
This site links to other websites in our group, namely thainesstv.com, doxzilla.com and tv.co.th, and to outside sites such as AIS Play, Facebook, YouTube, X, TikTok and Instagram. Once you follow a link, what that site collects is governed by its own policy. Links to our group sites carry a parameter that tells the destination only that you came from nextstep.tv. No personal information goes with it.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop using it, object to its use, receive it in a readable format or have it transferred, and you can withdraw any consent you have given at any time. You can withdraw your cookie consent yourself, at once, with the Change cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. For anything else, email business@nextstep.co.th and tell us what you need. We will reply promptly and within 30 days. If you believe we have handled your information improperly, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee Office of Thailand.
